As a lone starfighter, you must defend the galaxy against evil waves of aliens that want to destroy everything.
General Gameplay
This game is a throwback for gamers that love Galaga from the 80’s. It is a top down shooter where enemies come down shooter towards your ship. Zeropitan Invasion Game Visuals are very basic in its presentation. If you love 8-bit style of games, then Zeropitan Invasion is the game for you. With just basic colors and pixels, it is very easy to see the game. All of the characters from the ship to enemy are all in 8-bit style. The game does not support a colorblind mode; however, it is not needed for the game. In our playtesting we did not see any issues with the game visuals with younger gamers. Audio for Zeropitan Invasion is also in a 8-bit style. Very basic on the sound department, you will mostly hear just basic laser fire from ship to enemy. There are some background music and noise but barely noticeable in the game. As the game has no spoken dialog, there is nothing offensive for younger gamers to hear. The game is in stereo mode and it works well to hear the game. Controls for the game are also very easy to use. As the left thumb stick moves the fighter and one button to fire the weapon. As the game is a throwback of the 80’s style of gameplay, the controller setting is perfect for a game like this. In our playtesting, we did not have any issues with the controller settings. As the game is build around the controller for the console, there is no need for a special controller for Zeropitan Invasion.
“Zeropitan Invasion gets it right to be a fun, simple shooter that anyone can play and have fun with”
Family Friendly
When we first got our review copy, the testers thought to themselves that this is another “shooter clone” and to the most part it is but what makes Zeropitan Invasion fun to play is that it is simple for anyone to pick up and play the game. Just at times having a simple game to play in your digital library is good to go to when you want a break from other “time eating” games. What Zeropitan Invasion does right is that the approach that the game has for any gamer to play. The controls are simple to get used to, the graphics and audio are also are simple in its nature but the gameplay is what counts and Zeropitan Invasion gets this right. One of the cool features of the game is that you can adjust the screen of the game to be vertical or even horizontal gameplay which makes it easier for old school gamers to play the game. In our special needs game testing, we did not see any issues with the graphics, audio or even controls. The game is very special needs gaming and family friendly. We highly recommend picking up Zeropitan Invasion for your digital library. The only complaint that we had was that we wish the game had more levels, however that is what DLC is for.
