This week games reviewed are two twin stick shooters that could be same and different at the same time. The Walking Vegetables: Radical Edition a 80’s inspired twin stick shooter in which you play as a beat cop taking on vegetables and fruit that has mutated and wreaking havoc in the city. Another great twin stick shooter is for the Nintendo Switch with is Rock Boshers DX. In this retro throwback game, you fight as Queen Victoria that got bored with her life and went incognito searching for adventure and found more than she bargained for.
One thing we here are a sucker for in the office are retro style games, or even companies that create their games in the retro style, and I personally an 80’s kid so when The Walking Vegetables: Radical Edition came across my desk I was all hooked. Don’t let the graphics fool you, behind this presentation is a great, solid shooter. The game is not easy and will even test the best twin stick shooters skills. Some concerns came up with this title but minor ones and these are easily fixed. Be sure to check out the video footage and our review on The Walking Vegetables: Radical Edition.
Tikipod always has a reputation for making great games that are fun on all platforms and Rock Boshers DX is another one on this list. As Queen Victoria you go through level by level fighting off monsters, environmental elements and other things that they can throw at you. Again, another well done title that will test the limits of all gamers. The only problem, minor was that the game is hard to see on the handheld screen but once you get it on a larger monitor it is a great game in motion. Be sure to check out our review here on Rock Boshers DX and see why this is a great game for the Nintendo Switch.
Both The Walking Vegetable: Radical Edition (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch) and Rock Boshers DX (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4) are available now. Be sure to download these games and give it a try!
