Radio Squid and Sister Royale: Five Sisters Under Fire

Radio Squid and Sister Royale: Five Sisters Under Fire

After a two week much needed vacation, we got a chance to review two great games this week.  This week we had a chance to get our hands on a great Metroidvania style game that is Omega Strike.  In order to take the fight to the evil Dr. Omega, you must switch to use three different heroes in real time to go from level to level, gaining power ups and defeating enemies as you go along.  A great Metroidvania style game for those that love games like this.  Another shooter that we had a chance to review was Sisters Royale: Five Sisters Under Fire, a unique shooter where 5 sisters are fighting over the which one of them will marry an angel.  A very fun shooter where each sister is play style is very different from the other and an interesting shooter indeed but with a concern that came up during our review.

As a young squid you had a curse place onto him and now go into the seas to collect coins to pay off the debt to get the curse taken off, in Radio Squid you play as said squid and brace level to level of enemies that you must take down with your shots.  In interesting dynamic in which you can bounce your shots off walls to hit the enemies.  A great mixture of music and monochromic graphics makes this a game that looks like on the Gameboy Advance. There were some concerns about this game that came up during our review and you can read the review and thoughts here and be sure to watch some gameplay footage of Radio Squid below.

SHUMP (Shoot em up) shooters are a dime a dozen on the consoles and PC and when a SHMUP comes out it must set itself apart from the rest of the games out there, this is where Sisters Royale: Five Sisters Under Fire comes into this picture. A great shooter where you get to choose from five different sisters fighting against each other to marry a angel, yes an angel.  This indeed is an interesting storyline for a shooter.  Each sister has their own unique playing style and special weapons to use.  A great, simple and fun shooter to play but one concern that we had was that the game ask permission to access your gamer profile, friends list and other data before installing.  Now for some this may not be an issue but for others this request may be a deal breaker, now to note that you can still play the game on the Xbox One by declining but you will not earn any achievements or rank onto the leaderboards.  Be sure to read more about this in our review here and see some gameplay footage below of the game.

As always be sure to check your console digital store for Radio Squid (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC) and Sisters Royal: Five Sisters Under Fire (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC) both that are available now.  Be sure to download these games and give it a try!
