One Escape and 3 out of 10: Season One

One Escape and 3 out of 10: Season One

As April is ending and COVID-19 is starting to be more in control, our office staff after a year is starting to come back and these misfits are returning so are more reviews with our staff and our special needs gamers that help us create reviews.  So, this week we had a chance to review two different and fun game that both deserve to be in your digital library.  The first is a retro style stealth action game, One Escape is about breaking yourself and your friends out of jail.  The second game that we reviewed was a true gem that is 3 out of 10: Season One, in this wacky game you play as a team of developers trying to release the next big video game hit.

Stealth games are fun, it is all about sneaking around, getting around people, security systems and other objects that stand in your way and the best feeling is to get through a level or area without being detected and getting what you need to get done, done.  In One Escape this process is a little different.  You play as one of three friends that went a robbed a bank, got caught and now must face jail time.  So, what do you do, break out!  Each of the three characters have their own special ability to use to get out of 20 different areas, from guards patrolling to laser security fences and other things that stand in your way.  A decent game but short on stealth abilities for more seasoned stealth gamers.  Some of our gaming family loved the game where others felt that it was to light in the stealth department, however, be sure to read our review, and watch some video of the game in action to see for yourself.

When we first heard about this game, some of us were a little reserved about a episodic game, but when we watched the trailer for 3 out of 10: Season One, we were just laughing so hard that our stomachs were just flat out hurting.  3 out of 10: Season One is a funny game that is not afraid to poke fun at the video game industry.  As each level goes into detail about the antics of the developers and how they are trying to release a new video game into the industry, you get to play as different developers and staff in each episode and the mini games alone in 3 out of 10: Season One are just fun to play.  The writing, voice acting and overall fun humor in the game is worth pickup up for anyone that loves to watch sit coms or just want to play a funny game.  Be sure to read our review here and watch some gameplay footage below of the game in action as well some fun minigames that are in 3 out of 10: Season One.

As always be sure to check your console digital store for both One Escape (Xbox One Series X/S, PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch) and 3 out of 10: Season One (Xbox One Series X/S, PC, Nintendo Switch) both games are available now.  Be sure to download these games and give it a try!
