Iron Snout

As a pig, fight off wolves that are coming at you. Fight, win and survive hordes of waves of the evil wolves.

General Gameplay

Iron Snout is all about being one with the pig, fighting as the pig and surviving.  It is a fight game as you fight off endless waves of wolves, some with weapons and other things trying to defeat you.  The Game Visuals for Iron Snout are very basic.  The characters, backgrounds and general game graphics are very basic in design.  You can see the wolves in different clothing as well the pig and the weapons that come at you.  As the game is very simple in its design, so it the graphics.  As the game is rated T – For Teen, the game has some violence, but not much to be offensive to younger gamers.  The game does not support a colorblind mode; however, the game does not need it as the graphics are very easy to see on screen.  In our playtest outside of the red for the contact that we saw, there was nothing offensive in the game for younger gamers to see.  Again, as the game is rated T – For Teen we only tested the game with gamers that are 13 and older.  Audio for Iron Snout is also very simple.  With the basic punches, kicks, weapons hitting and other basic sounds that accompany the game.  The game background music is very simple as well.  As the game has no spoken audio dialog the game has nothing offensive in out audio.   The game is in stereo and sounds very well.  As the game does not have any spoken dialog, there is nothing offensive to younger gamers ears to hear.  Controls in Iron Snout are very simplistic, so much that you can play the game with just one hand! Yes, just the left thumb stick is only used to control the character and fight off enemies.  The game is very simple in it approach on the controls where it is almost like a smart phone game where the controls are this simple.  In our playtesting, we did not encounter any issues with the game controls.  All ages of our game testers were able to play the game without any trouble at all.  As the controller setting are very friendly, there is no need for any special controller for this game.

“Iron Snout is simply a fun game to kill your time with.”

Family Friendly

One of the fun things about Iron Snout is that it is a simple game for anyone to play.  The game is all about making combos, fighting off wolves and trying to see how far you can go in the game.  Simple gameplay makes this a great game for all ages.  Now we know that the game is rated T – For Teen, however the game level of violence is minimum and honestly the game should have been rated E10.  The game is just mindless fun and very easy to play.  Also, the local 2 player co-op is also fun to play with another gamer in Iron Snout.  We wish that there were more unlockable in this game, but maybe future DLC may be added to this game.  In our special needs game testing, we did not encounter any issues with the game graphics, audio or even controls.  Like we said before the game is very family friendly as well special needs gaming friendly.

Closing

Iron Snout is a fun game where you can enjoy without putting much thought into.  The simplistic gameplay, and controls make this a game that all will enjoy in your gaming family.
