An interesting week of reviews and with two great games that we got a chance to try out. The first game is Hotshot Racing a great racing game that is like a 90’s style of racing games from the Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo 64 and PlayStation 2 era. Another game that we reviewed was Lost Wings. Lost Wings is an interesting racing/space shooter rail-based game where you go through levels trying to get to a boss as well get the best score on your run.
A lot of our reviews (including myself) are fans of the racing games from the 90’s. Games like San Francisco Rush, Ridge Racer, and Grand Torino series were a staple of how great racing games are done and when we got a chance to review this great game, we were very surprised. Hotshot Racing takes everything that made these games fun and brings it to the current generation of console gaming. Great tracks, racers to choose from as well a deep customization of your car as well as different game modes makes this a great game. What makes this even special game is that it offers both 4-player split screen as well as online play. Truly a game not to miss for any racing fans out there. When we first saw Lost Wings become available for us to try out, we were extremely excited here at the office to get our hands on this title. A great game that is a hybrid racing/shooter that has a fantastic soundtrack. As we played throughout the game, we loved some aspects of the game but also has some concerns with the game as well during our review. Even with the concerns that we had with the game; it is still a great game for those that love games like this.
