A busy week for reviews with some triple A blockbusters that came out this last 2 week so we got in some time to cover some post Halloween games. We here at the office decided to try out two different ghostly games for the week. The first one is a remastered version of the original game released back on the PS3/Xbox 360 days that is Ghostbusters: The Video Game and a point and click 8-bit style horror game that is Just Ignore Them.
Who you gonna call? Well back in the 80’s this was an iconic catch phrase from a classic movie. In Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is a 4K upscaled remake of the original game released back in 2009. In this follow up game from the movie’s series, you play as the new rookie recruit that is joining the Ghostbusters to fight off new and old ghost that are being drawn back to New York City. In the game you get to interact with the iconic characters, equipment and locations from the movie series. The game also included the voice acting of the original cast. Back in 2009 when the game was released it was a fun game to play, especially if you were a fan of the movie series, however we have some concerns about the remastered version of the game and you can read the review here and see some video footage below of Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered.
As Mark you have been haunted by monsters all your life and now you must find out why and how they are tied to you and your father’s disappearance. In this 8-bit point and click horror style game it is all about the choices that you make, not getting killed by the monsters and figuring it all out. Every choice in the game that you make will lead to a different ending. We enjoyed Just Ignored Them but felt that the game was too short and at times a little hard for gamers that are not used to the older point and click style of gaming. Be sure to read our review here and check out some game footage below of the game in action.
As always be sure to check your console digital store for Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered and Just Ignore Them (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC) both that are available now. Be sure to download these games and give it a try!
