Another week of social isolation and some great games that this week that we were able to get reviews done. Gato Roboto a Metroid inspired game where you play as a cat in a mech suit that must help her human get off a hostel planet while trying to figure out what is going on the planet and station. A great Metroid style game for any fans out there of Metroid style games. Another game that was reviewed was Random Heroes: Gold Edition where you as a random hero from earth must stop an alien invasion from happening. Fans of 2D 8-bit style side scroller shooters will like this game.
As a cat named Kiki you are with you friendly human as he crashes onto a strange planet and as he cannot go out and get help it is up to you to get help and fix the ship to get off this hostel planet with aliens and a crazy rat out to get you. Well in Gato Roboto you get to play as a cat in a mech suit and in this Metroid inspired game. The game graphics have a Gameboy style in its black and white presentation. With power upgrades, great level designs and boss battles, this is a great game for anyone that loves cats and Metroid style of gaming, a must have for your digital library. Watch some gameplay footage below and read our review here on this great game.
In Random Heroes: Gold Edition you as a random hero on earth, you must protect the earth from an alien invasion. The game is an inspiration from the 80’s style side scroller shooters. There are a lot of weapons, guns, and characters to obtain throughout your playthrough. We had some concerns about the repetitive nature of the game but as with any game that is inspired from the 80’s era there are some good and bad that comes from it. In any case be sure to watch some video of gameplay from Random Heroes: Gold Edition below and read our review and thoughts here of the game and what we thought of it.
As always be sure to check your console digital store for Gato Roboto (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC) and Random Heroes: Gold Edition (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch) both that are available now. Be sure to download these games and give it a try!
