Two vastly different games this week that we covered and to say different is to say the least. We have a fantastic game that involves holes and sucking everything in its path in well done game that is Donut County. In this game is it all about trying to grow a sink hole and getting everything doe the hole. As simple as it sounds, this is truly a fun game to play for all ages. The second game that we covered is Balancelot. A game where you are a squire and must get into the jousting competition but only one problem, you’re on a unicycle and must get through the levels by balancing on the unicycle and getting past all of the hurdles in the levels. We had some concerns with this title but will go over them in this blog.
Unique games is fun to play. Developers take a chance on a concept and hope that it works and with Donut County this was a solid home run! Talk about a fun game, from the storyline of the game, the family friendly humor throughout the game and gameplay that is just as much fun as it looks. Think of games like Untitled Goose Game and if you played this gem, then you will know what we are talking about. The game is a solid, fun, family friendly game that anyone in your gaming family can pick up and play. Games that involve balancing the character are very touch and go. The game can be a either a pure joy to play and balance the character in the game, games like Tony Hawk Pro Skater and so forth, or they can be a disaster. Well, Balancelot is one of those games that is a total disaster. The controls alone were just a total mess. The gameplay is just boring as well story and audio in the game. We try to give games a chance and allow different testers to try out the game and see if this is a game that is geared more towards an audience that is more of a fan of a game like this but sadly to say that this was a true miss.
