As April is awareness for Autism, we here at Family Gamer Review decided to do a top 10 list of the games that we reviewed that we felt that was fun for all members of the family and our special needs gamers out there. As we for the next month, we will weekly release games on this list for parents and guardians to try out and enjoy with their gaming family.
- Cities Skylines
Cities Skylines is a big favorite here at the office and rightfully so. The game is all about building the city of your dreams and running it. One of many things that makes this such a fun that the game allows you to play the game with unlimited funds, resources and items, or you can play and earn them as you go. Take our word for it Cities Skylines is a great game.
- Overcooked and Overcooked 2
Another great co-op game for the family is Overcooked. Even though the sequel Overcooked 2 is also available, we recommend both as making food in a crazy environment never gets old. The game base is simple and as long you know what ingredients go into what food you should be fine. This is a great bonding game for parents and children and overall fun.
- I and Me
Take a black cat which is you, and a clone/double of you and try to figure out puzzles in this beautiful platformer that is I and Me. This one is also a big hit here at the office. First it came out on the Nintendo Switch and then it made its appearance on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This is also a great puzzle platform game that cannot be missed. Also did we mention cute cats in the game? 😊
- Typoman
Part platformer, and unique puzzle game, where you are Typoman and you must navigate through levels solving word puzzles, yes making the words work for you to help you get through the level. This is a very entertaining game where parents/guardians and children can play and enjoy very much. Available on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
- Star Wars Battlefront 2
Everyone loves Star Wars (and yes here at the office we are all Star Wars fans!) and this online shooter is a great game for any Star Wars fans. Star Wars Battlefront 2 covers all the movies with both heroes and villains’ troops and ships, also did we mention that there is a great single play story mode to it that explains what happen from Return of the Jedi to The Force Awakens. The single player itself is a great game and the multiplayer portion has improved from the initial launch. Also, there is a offline co-op game mode for gamers to play as well.
We will be posting for the month of April a blog highlighting games that are special needs friendly and overall fun, so be sure to bookmark our site and come back every week for new great game suggestions for the family!
