8-Bit Armies and Vegas Party

8-Bit Armies and Vegas Party

This week we got a chance to play two different games with a great RTS (Real Time Strategy) game from the creators of Command and Conquer Series that is 8-Bit Armies and a party style game with a gambling feel that is Vegas Party.

8-Bit Armies is an RTS (Real Time Strategy) game from the former creators of the Command and Conquer series from the mid 90’s.  Now I will personally say that creating an RTS style game that is meant to be played on a keyboard/mouse onto the console is very hard but they got it right.  Not only did they get it right with the controls but it is a fun and easy game for anyone to play.   Be sure to read our review here and see why for fans of RTS games and non-fans need to have this game in their digital library!

Another game that came across my desk was Vegas Party.  In this Vegas style game you and up to 4 players play gambling style games like, Blackjack, Roulette, Video Poker, Red or Black, Bingo and other casino style of games.  Also, there is a board game style of play in which you and other players roll the dice and go onto spots on a board to get to the end.  We had our concerns about the game and the gameplay mechanics as well as the game general AI that was also a concern for some of our game testers for this game.  You can read all about it here in our review of Vegas Party and see for yourself on our concerns.

Both 8-Bit Armies and Vegas Party are available now on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC for download.  Be sure to download these games and give it a try!
