Demons Tilt

Go back to the old school 16-bit era of pinball in this bullet hell, action RPG style of pinball.

General Gameplay

Demon’s Tilt is a three-level pinball table that is all about racking up bonus points, fulfilling objectives on the table and racking up as much points before getting the jackpot score. The table has multiple ramps where you can reach new levels of the table with new objectives and more opportunities to raise your score. There are other objectives where you have to damage enemies and collect enough powers ups to defeat them.  Game Visuals are created in a 16-bit style where all of the game is presented in this style.  Everything is in a gothic, hack and slash gamer style with witches, monsters, goblins and other mythical creatures.  The game is mostly presented in a top/down view like a traditional pinball table, so you have full view of the action that is going on when the pinball is in motion.  The game is in a darker color palette with mostly darker colors; however it is still easily seen when in motion.  The ball in the game for most times can be followed without any effort but when the screen get hectic with lots of bonuses and power ups it can be tricky to follow the pinball, however there is a trail effect that can help people follow it.  The game is set up to be more of an traditional pinball game with lots of elements to it. There is no colorblind mode for the game, however in our play testing we did not have any issues seeing all the colors in the game.  In our play testing we did not run into any issues with the game graphics.  Audio for Demon’s Tilt is very 16 bit in its sound design.  All of the sound effects that you would expect from a pinball game are there, from the ball hitting the hammers, bumpers, and going up and down the ramps. There are sounds that are made when you get bonus points and when enemies are hit.  The game does have spoken dialog, but it is minimum in the gameplay.  The game is presented in a 5.1 surround sound, and in 2.0 stereo environment. Either sound setting that you use for the game is fine.  In our play testing, we did not hear anything that would be offensive to younger gamers.  Controls in Demon’s Tilt are very simple and easy to control.  The triggers control the left and right hammers and there is one controller button to launch the ball from the bay.  The game is a pinball game in its nature, so the controller settings are there to match the game itself.  There is no need for a special controller to play the game and the standard Xbox One controller is fine to play the game. In out play testing, there was no issues to play the game with the controller settings.

“A mix of hack and slash, bullet hell and overall old school pinball action makes Demon’d Tilt a fun pinball game to play.”

Family Friendly

If you are fan of either 16-bit era gaming or even pinball, then you will really enjoy Demon’s Tilt.  The game offers a lot of pinball action with the three levels of playing.  As you are going for a high score in the game, there is a lot of objectives to go for. From bonus ramps to attacking on the top table the mythical creatures to even racking up bonuses to go for the jackpot or super jackpot.  When we say that this is a fun game, trust us any pinball fan will fall in love with this game.  There is a lot to do in this game and the gameplay shows.  A lot of our testers love the game and how easy it was to pick up and play the game.  Also, the game offers three levels of difficulty so the game is for any gamers that are from novice to even pro gamers that can play the game.  The only complaint if any is that the game only offers one table that you can play on, but outside of this, this is a minor issue.  The game is currently available on the Xbox One Game Pass for free, so if you have the Game Pass, this is a great game to pick up.  In our special needs game testing, we did not encounter any issues with the game graphics, audio or controls.  Outside of following the pinball when there is a lot going on screen, the game is very special needs gaming friendly.
